Frequently Asked Questions

How quickly do you need the flowers?

The fresher the flowers, the better the outcome will be.  The best situation is 1-4 days after the wedding/event, and the flowers should be refrigerated (not in freezer) until they are brought to us or shipped. (See shipping instructions if needed.)

Where do I keep the flowers until I see you?

In the refrigerator upright in a vase is the best option. If there are exposed stems, put them in a little bit of water. Never put the flowers in a freezer. This will ruin them.

When will my piece be ready?

The drying process takes approximately 60-75, days and your final piece will be ready within 4-6 months.

What is a layout and design meeting?

This is a meeting held about 60-75 days after your wedding. You will select a frame and background and decide what to include in your flower keepsake. This usually happens in our Roswell office, but remote meetings are available. For your convenience, we take appointments on weekends as well as during the week. You can include a picture, ribbons and invitation along with anything else that is fairly flat. We want to create your vision, and we will work with you to fulfill your needs. You are the designer of your finished piece!

Why should I press my bouquet?

This will be a priceless memento to look at every day and on average only costs about 1% of your wedding budget!

Flower preservation comes with a lot of trial and error. We urge you not to experiment with your flowers; it is not worth the money saved.

We see brides disappointed because they or a family member or friend tried to preserve these sentimental flowers and they ended up ruined.

Here is why we recommend seeing an expert:

  • Your flowers will change colors and will become dull. We utilize color-enhancing techniques to ensure vibrancy; your flower will retain their original colors for years to come!
  • Not all of your flowers will turn out well, and some will be moldy or turn brown. This is normal. We have determined the best methods for each flower type!
  • Invest in a meaningful piece so you can be reminded of your wedding day for years to come.

How long will the flowers last?

As long as you care for your piece, it will last forever! As with any piece of artwork, keep out of direct sunlight as well as humid and damp conditions. It can be normal for colors to change over time!

Can you press any flower?

We will try our best to press any flower and we will use the best flowers in your bouquet. We may even have to take it apart if we think it will help with the pressing process. However, some flowers do not make it through the pressing process and that is normal.

Will my bouquet look the same when it is dried?

You cannot expect the flowers to look exactly the same. When necessary, the flowers are color enhanced. For example, reds go darker and whites go to an ivory tone.

How much does it cost to ship the flowers?

Based on where you are located in the US. Contact local UPS or Fedex for an estimate.

What if my wedding has already occurred?

If your wedding has already occurred and you did not save your bouquet, do not worry. We can recreate a piece for you with a really good photograph. This is a fabulous gift for a loved one that they will treasure and appreciate for decades.

Shipping your bouquet

Contact us to let us know your bouquet is to be shipped. Forever Flowers can be reached at 770-640-8977.

If you are not within driving distance of our shop in Roswell, GA, it will be necessary for you to ship your wedding flowers overnight. The bouquet should be stored in the refrigerator upright until shipping within 3-6 days of your wedding.

Time is not your friend so we would strongly recommend priority shipping with FedEx, which delivers the flowers by 10 a.m. the next morning, or UPS, which also does a very good job of delivering before noon.

Do not put water on your flowers. Wrap a paper towel around the flowers and place in a box slightly bigger than the bouquet. Use crushed newspapers and packing peanuts to fill the box. If you have a blue frozen ice pack, this can be taped to the base of the flowers to keep the box cool. The key is to stabilize the bouquet so it will not shift en route to our studio.

Do not indicate that we must sign for the package when it is delivered. It is very easy to miss these drivers.

Enclose in a plastic bag a check for your $250 deposit to Forever Flowers with your name, email address, and best numbers to reach you. We also accept credit card, Venmo and Zelle.
